Controlled Port Priority for overload management: Occupying the Controlled Priority, EP100-05-31 is automatically cut off the power of the lowest Priority port when the system power is overloaded of power budget. The rules are based on the numbered port of PD connected. Wise Controlled Priority function will help protect the system.
Guard Band gives a protction from sudden spike in PoE consumption: EP100-05-31 reserve 7 watts of specified amount of power from the PoE power budget protection when there is a sudden spike that exceeds the maximum PoE budget. For instance, if the current PoE output has reached the guard band power (maximum PoE power budget(watts) - 7 watts = guard band power), the switch will check which enabled PoE PD port and the port of highest priority simultaneously.
